Chapter 10: Cannabis Breakfast Recipes
Weed Bread
Ingredients
6 cups all-purpose flour or 4 cups flour and 2 cups whole wheat flour
0.35 ounces marijuana flowers, deseeded, de-stemmed, ground coarsely
2 1/2 teaspoons salt
3 1/2 cups lukewarm water (110°F
1/2 teaspoon active dry yeast
Flaxseed meal for dusting
Method
Place the marijuana in a ramekin.
Place in a preheated oven at 220°F for an hour. Remove from the oven. This is what you call decarbozylated active marijuana.
Add all the dry ingredients to a mixing bowl. Add lukewarm water and mix to form a sticky dough.
Cover the bowl with cling wrap and place it in a warm place for 12-16 hours or until the dough doubles in size and tiny bubbles are visible on the top of the dough.
Dust your work area with flaxseed meal. Dust your hands as well.
Fold the dough a few times to form into a ball. Coat in flaxseed meal and place it on cheesecloth with its seam side facing down.
Wrap tightly and set aside for 2 hours.
Preheat the oven at 450°F. Place a greased loaf pan or baking dish in the oven
Transfer the dough into the heated loaf pan carefully with its seam side facing up.
Cover with a lid or aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
Uncover and continue baking for another 8-10 minutes.
Switch off the oven and let the bread remain in the oven for 5 minutes.
Remove from the oven and carefully remove the bread from the pan and cool on a wire rack completely.
Slice and serve.
